International and Foreign Practice Committee Virtual Event

International & Foreign Practice Committee Virtual Event: Key Updates and Insights in European Supplementary Protection Certificates. Time: September 16 at 11am ET Join us for this virtual event, hosted by the International & Foreign Practice Committee on September 16 at 11am ET. This virtual session, entitled "Key Updates and Insights in European Supplementary Protection Certificates" will be presented by Michael R Pears of the European firm Potter Clarkson. Michael has extensive experience in the niche area of European Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs), a form of IP that can provide an additional monopoly period beyond patent expiry for medicinal and plant protection products. As well as authoring various articles on the topic and speaking at international conferences, Michael has been involved in coordinating the prosecution of high profile SPC portfolios throughout Europe, including a case that was referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union.  Whether you are a seasoned patent attorney, in-house counsel, or simply interested in the future of intellectual property law, this event promises to deliver valuable insights!
