Case Law Committee Meeting: Developments in Obviousness-Type Double Patenting

The case law committee held a hybrid meeting, in person at Wilmer Hale and via Zoom, on October 22, 2024. Over 30 members attended to discuss recent developments in the judicial doctrine barring obviousness-type double patenting. The meeting focused on apparent tensions between the Federal Circuit’s 2023 In re Cellect decision and the court’s recent MSN v. Allergan case. Thanks to Wilmer Hale for hosting and Asher McGuffin for leading the conversation, as well as all of the members who participated!
