SPRING 2016 NEWSLETTER
By Erik Belt
Two years ago, our now President Erik Belt led a transition to a digital-only BPLA newsletter. This effort was made to advance the association’s use of content distribution technology. In so doing, President Belt pointed out that “
[f]or an association of patent attorneys and other IP professionals who represent clients on the cutting edge of technology…[the BPLA] should itself be in the vanguard of technological advances.
” President Belt’s digital move was definitely the right course of action for the association. In an effort to further advance President Belt’s initiative, with this issue we debut a new digital platform that will further improve our members’ reading experience by providing visually engaging content that is easily navigable from your computer, tablet, or smart phone. Hopefully you will agree that this new platform sees through President Belt’s mission from two years ago to move the BPLA in the vanguard of technological advances as it pertains to delivering news and information to our members.
