2021 BPLA Invented Here!

The 11th Annual Boston Patent Law Association (BPLA) Invented Here! Awards Event will take place virtually on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 at 6:00PM.

All BPLA members, stakeholders, and members of the public are encouraged to submit nominations of patents that meet the nomination criteria. The Invented Here! Committee has extended the nomination period to Wednesday, September 15th!

We are excited to announce that the USPTO’s Eastern Regional Outreach Office will participate in this year’s Invented Here! event. We look forward to showcasing a breadth of science and technology of New England innovations to the USPTO and the public.

To qualify, the invention must:

• Be claimed in a patent that issued within the past five years or be claimed in a patent that is tied to a product that received U.S. regulatory approval within the last three years; • Have been developed in New England or by an inventor who resides in New England; and • Represent a science or technology that can be described or demonstrated to the general public

The purpose of the Invented Here! Program is to celebrate New England innovators, their inventions, and the stories behind their innovations. Through the program, the Boston Patent Law Association (BPLA) is transforming the nation’s relationship with science and technology and providing educational opportunities that inform the public of these fascinating innovators and innovations.
