On April 30, the In-House Committee sponsored a roundtable discussion of freedom to operate practice. It was a grey day outside, but none of the over 30 participants had to brave the weather. Instead, we gathered on a videoconference and discussed how to ensure our clients can sell the results of their development efforts without running afoul of third party patents. The topics ranged from how to balance budget and litigation risk to how to monitor the patent landscape. We look forward to seeing everyone in person soon and are glad that technology exists for us to gather as a community and learn from each other!
