This Boston Patent Law Association (BPLA) event at District Hall in Boston’s Innovation District combines panels of intellectual property (IP) lawyers who practice in a variety of law firm and in-house settings. Panelists will discuss the nature of their practice and their career paths followed by a networking reception with connection stations hosted by Boston area IP law firms and in-house offices.
Who Should Attend?
Law students, recent law school graduates, STEM students and others interested in careers in IP law.
5:00 – 6:30 PM, District Hall Assembly rooms, two concurrent panels:

“Practicing Patent Law”
Pathways to practice as a patent lawyer in various settings: small patent-focused firm, larger IP firm, department in large general practice firm, and in-house department.
• “Practicing TM, Copyright, IP & Related Areas of Law”
Pathways to practices as an IP lawyer in various settings: large firm transactional or litigation practice, mid-size firm with technology or entertainment practice, IP boutique with TM/copyright practice, and in-house counsel office.
6:30 – 8:00 PM, District Hall Lounge:
