On April 23, 2019, the Federal Circuit Bar Association and the Boston Patent Law Association presented: From Boston & beyond: Local and Global Implications of Recent Changes in Patent Practice. The event included a wide-ranging discussion of current issues in patent law, featuring the views of the Hon. Jimmy V. Reyna, Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Hon. Richard G. Stearns, District Judge, United States District Court for the district of Massachusetts. Organized as an informal panel, with questions presented by moderators Ronald E. Cahill of Nutter McClennen & Fish and Matthew J Rizzolo of Ropes & Gray, the judges offered thoughts and commentary on recent developments in the law.
Welcoming remarks were made by Jim Brookshire of the Federal Circuit Bar Association and the BPLA’s immediate past president Rory Pheiffer.
