BPLA-USPTO Panel Program Featuring Patent Examiner– Behind the Scenes Look at Patent Prosecution from Both Sides
By Patent Office Practice Committee
On March 13, 2019, the Patent Office Practice Committee of the BPLA, in cooperation with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, presented a panel discussion entitled A Behind-The-Scenes Look at Prosecution from Both Sides.
The panelists included USPTO Examiner Zachary Skelding, and BPLA members Liza Hadley, Esq., and David Andreasen, Esq, who offered an animated and engaging discussion.
Organized by the chairs of the committee, Nicole Palmer, Esq., Timothy Fisher, Esq. and Jonathan Roses, Esq., the meeting was very well subscribed, and favorably received with well over 40 members of the Boston IP community in attendance. The audience included many of our attorney members, as well as at least one additional examiner and two students.
The Association offers it special thanks to Patent Office Commissioner Andrew Hirshfeld, Assistant Deputy Commissioner Robert Oberleitner and Director Timothy Callahan for their immensely valuable assistance in making this event happen.
