Message from the Editor-in-Chief
We were pleased to receive so many fine contributions to this issue, relating to so many facets of intellectual property. There are articles ranging from U.S. brand owner considerations in Cuba, to tattoo copyrights, to post-grant proceedings, to patent arbitration.
In addition, this issue contains the 2016 Annual Meeting Keynote Presentation made by Hon. Jacqueline Wright Bonilla, Lead Administrative Patent Judge, Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Be sure to check out the photos from the 2016 Annual Meeting, along with the Annual Meeting minutes.
This issue also provides information on a variety of opportunities to get more involved with the BPLA. For example, as discussed in this issue, judges are needed for the Giles S. Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition; volunteers are needed for the BPLA’s Patent Pro Bono Program; and nominations are encouraged for the BPLA’s program. Now is a great time to get more involved with the BPLA!
Invented Here!
I look forward to hearing from you regarding this 2017 debut issue of the Newsletter and your recommendations for future issues.
